This method involves using Airplane mode and clearing your cache in the Snapchat app. Using this method, Snapchat won’t know that you took the screenshot because we are cleaning the cache, which will erase the temporary data of Snapchat. Therefore, it won’t update the users’ profiles to reflect that you took one.

This method will work both in Android as well as on iPhone.

Step 1: Before you open any snap, put your smartphone into Airplane Mode via settings.

Step 3: After taking the screenshot, go to your profile and open settings on the top right corner inside the profile.

Step 4: Once you open the settings, scroll down and find ACCOUNT ACTIONS. Below the Account actions, you can see the Clear Cache option used to clean the temporary file stored by the Snapchat app.

Step 5: After clicking on the Clear Cache option, you can see a popup window as a blow with the Continue button and then click on the Continue button, which will finally delete all your cache data.

Method 2: Take Snapchat Screenshots using the Screen Recording Feature

In this method, you can take a screenshot using a built-in screen recording feature with a newer version of the Android system after android 8 and iPhones.

Android 

In Android, you can find the screen recorder in the notification panel or look for it in the settings menu.

Step 1: Swipe down on the screen to access the notification panel.

Step 3: You can see an Icon with the title Screen Recorder.

Step 4: Click on Screen Recorder; once you click on the screen recorder, it will start video recording your screen movements.

Step 5: After you start screen recording, open the Snapchat app and open the snaps you want to save.

Step 6: Once the snap is open and recorded, stop the screen recording; as soon as the recording is stopped, and you will save a video in your gallery; after that can take a screenshot from the video recording.

iPhone

On an iPhone, you have to enable the Control Center feature by tapping on the option. If the feature is not available in your Control Center, you can add it by following a couple of simple steps:

Step 1: Go to Settings and find the Control Center option.

Step 2: Tap on it and select the Customize Controls option.

Step 3: Following this, add the screen recorder option, and you are done.

Step 4: To start recording in the Open Control Center by swiping up on the screen.

Method 3: How to Screenshot Snapchat without them knowing using Another Phone to Record

This is the simplest method to take SS of snaps without notifying the users. In this method, you need another smartphone to record the desired story.

Just open the camera in another smartphone, and from your smartphone, open your Snapchat app and open the snap you want to take the screenshot.

Once the image is open, take a photo of the picture using the camera of another smartphone. This way, you can save the snap without letting the user know about it.
